Dr. Linda Chen, DDS

Torrance and San Pedro Dentist, Dr. Linda Chen specializes in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics. She completed her undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins University and then went on to receive her dental degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Chen continued her training at Birmingham Department of  Veteran Affairs for her General Practice Residency and followed with a Dental Oncology Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She completed her Advanced Prothodontics Residency at West Los Angeles Department of Veteran Affair, while holding the position of Chief Resident. Dr. Chen later went on to a Maxillofacial Prosthodontics Fellowship at UCLA.  She has also spent several years as a Clinical Assistant Professor at both USC and UCLA.

While at the Veterans Hospital, Dr. Chen also worked with patients who had been diagnosed with Sleep Apnea, but were CPAP intolerant and therefore needed an alternative treatment. With the help of the lab, Dr. Chen would have a Silencer appliance fabricated and fitted to the needs of the patient. For many CPAP intolerant patients, an oral appliance is the preferred form of treatment as it is less invasive and geared toward patient comfort.

Dr. Chen, while being extremely knowledgeable in her field, also has the ability to speak with patients in both an informative and calming way. She has quickly become a patient favorite because of her soothing nature and gentle dentistry.
